STEMMED: Science and Service

STEMMED connects high school students to the world of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics as they prepare for college and the workforce. Mentors lead lessons, focusing on a different field of STEM every week including lessons on math and computer science, physics, biology, and chemistry. After students get a sense of what these fields are like, mentors will assist them in small groups as they work on their capstone projects, small experiments geared toward the small groups' field of interest, that the students will present at a science fair on JCU's campus at the end of the service placement, late in April.
